By kind permission of the Rowing Section of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, the Oxbridge Annual Rowing Regatta will be held at Middle Island, Deepwater Bay from 10:30am on Saturday 19 April 2025.
This is a very popular family event and guests and children are most welcome to attend and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of this unique location. The rowing races will commence at 11:30am sharp with crews representing Oxford, Cambridge, combined alumni and Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.
Some experience of rowing and/or coxing is required but crews will be of mixed ability and fitness. Individual or crew entries are welcome – please register your interest in advance so we can start assembling crews before the day. Participants are encouraged to wear their varsity colours and enter into friendly rivalry.
Experienced rowers will have the opportunity to race in Hong Kong’s own “Boat Race” or in a Goldie/Isis boat, but the mood of the day is light-hearted and there will be plenty of opportunity to have a fun row and enjoy the spirit of representing one’s alma mater.
Prizes will be awarded, subject to final entries, on the beautiful lawn of the Clubhouse, followed by lunch set with free flow drinks. End the day by watching the sun set over Deepwater Bay over a glass of wine. You won’t regret it!
By participating in this event organised by the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hong Kong, each participant acknowledges and agrees that they are responsible for their own health, safety, and personal belongings. The Society and its committee members will not be held liable for any damages, losses, or injuries that may arise from this event.
