Free Zoom Online Webinar, co-organized with HKDAS

Throughout his impressive career, award-winning musician Hanjin Tan has never stopped challenging himself with new adventures. His foray into various mediums – singing, composing and acting – has led to an estimated net worth of US$5 million. When the NFT wave hit the entertainment industry, Tan was among the first artists to experiment with the new market – and found instant success. His NFT songs reportedly sold out in a matter of seconds, earning him 7 Ether (Eth) for his single Nobody Gets Me on crypto-goods marketplace OpenSea, and 539 BNB (~US$$200,000) for “The xxxx is an NFT”, according to Vanity Fair. In Music, 90% of streaming income goes to 1% of celebrities and more than 50% of Chinese musicians don’t make money from music itself but from other forms of income. Hanjin thus want to launch this NFT experiment to test if this could be a new path to solve the problem of income gap in the Chinese music industry.

Oxbridge Society HK is honored to present this free online Zoom webinar featuring Hanjin, where he will share his experience as the world’s first artist to release a Chinese music NFT. This webinar is co-organized with Hong Kong Digital Asset Society (HKDAS), co-founded by an Oxford alumnus, and Rotary Alumni Association
